MINTD ("we", "us", or "our") operates the MINTD mobile application and related services (the "App"). MINTD is a Trading Card Game (TCG) collection and market tracking application that allows users to search, scan, manage, and analyze trading cards and market prices across multiple brands.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

By using MINTD, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

  • Email address
  • Display name or username
  • Authentication credentials
  • App preferences and settings

This information is used to provide account functionality and customer support.

Collection & App Data

To provide core features, we store:

  • Cards added to your collection or wishlist
  • Card quantities and variants
  • Portfolio and collection statistics
  • Value tracking and historical performance data
  • App configuration and currency preferences

This data allows MINTD to calculate collection insights and price tracking features.

Card Scanning Data

When you scan a card, the photo is sent to our servers and passed to Google Cloud Vision for text recognition and to Google Gemini for card identification. It is processed to produce a result and is not stored.

  • We do not keep scan images. They are not written to our database or file storage, and there is no scan image history attached to your account.
  • Photos are sent without personal identifying metadata.
  • Google processes these images in memory to return a result. Under the paid service terms that apply to us, they are not retained for product improvement, are not used to train models and are not reviewed by people. Google keeps short-term logs for abuse detection and legal compliance only.
  • Photos you choose to post to the community feed are different: those are stored, because the feature exists to show them. They are deleted when you delete the post or your account.

Third-Party Data Sources

MINTD displays trading card information and market pricing using third-party data providers. We use publicly available and licensed data from:

  • TCGplayer (market pricing and product references)
  • eBay (market listings and pricing references)

MINTD does not control or guarantee the accuracy, availability, or timeliness of third-party pricing data. When you choose to purchase a card via external links, you are redirected to third-party platforms. Their privacy policies apply independently.

Third-Party Services

We may use trusted third-party providers to operate core functionality, including:

  • Cloud hosting and database infrastructure
  • Authentication services
  • Analytics and crash reporting
  • Payment processing platforms (if subscriptions are introduced)

These providers only process data necessary to perform their services and are contractually obligated to protect your information. We do NOT sell or rent your personal data to advertisers.

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain app functionality
  • Display collection analytics and price tracking
  • Improve scanning and search accuracy
  • Respond to support requests
  • Improve performance and reliability
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, or misuse of the service

We do not use personal data for third-party marketing.

Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary:

  • Account and collection data: until account deletion is requested
  • Analytics data: up to 24 months
  • Diagnostic logs: limited retention for debugging purposes
  • Scan images: temporarily stored and periodically deleted or anonymized

Deleting the app does not automatically delete your account data. You may request deletion at any time.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Request data portability
  • Object to certain processing activities

Children's Privacy

MINTD is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

The App may contain links to third-party websites such as TCGplayer or eBay. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external services.

Intellectual Property Notice

All trading card game names, images, trademarks, and related content displayed in the App are the property of their respective rights holders, including but not limited to The Pokémon Company, Konami, Bandai, Wizards of the Coast, and The Walt Disney Company. MINTD is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these companies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted within the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
